REVIEW: TOP BUN – My top three BUNS to tuck into in London this summer

ONE: Pakistani Street Food from Bun Kabab is spectacular – slow cooked beef, pulled chicken or daal bun kababs with the most incredible coriander chutney. The pulled chicken one saved me from a terrible hangover, for this I will be forever thankful. They are brilliant (even without a hangover) and I urge you to seek them out and give them a try. Follow @Bun_Kabab for updates of their London pop-ups.

TWO: I’m sure Pop Brixton will come into its own in the summer months (the roof is now OFF!) so if you fancy a burger and some alfresco drinking then my recommendation is for a delicious Bhangra Burger – crazy lamb jalfrezi or crispy tikka chicken, and don’t forget to make it a Bhaji tower burger! The masala fries come with creamy raita and mango pulp. Absolute heaven in a box. For more on Bhangra Burger head here: http://www.bhangraburger.com/

THREE: Brought to you from Youngs Pubs, Burger Shack is a very happy addition to the South London burger scene with all the best bits you want (quality meat, delicious soft toasted bun) plus a touch of the Macdonalds (the plastic cheese!). Mr Husband says it’s the closest thing to a proper American burger he’s had in London. With Burger Shacks springing up all over South London there’s sure to be one near you too, from The Bull Streatham (our lovely local with a fab sun-trap beer garden) to The Windmill Clapham and The Wood House Dulwich. Curly Fries on the side and a bunch of booze from the bar and what more could you need? http://www.burgershack.co.uk/
